OREGON COAST CORAL OH MY...

My daughter-in-law bought me some beautiful beads on the Oregon Coast, so I got busy and designed one piece, making perfect use of each special bead.  The long orange coral pieces at the bottom were the start - I wire wrapped (I worked hard at making my wraps more the "messy" look, which wasn't easy for me!) them to a 3-hole connector and built the necklace up from there.  I wasn't even sure how the coral pieces would lay, but they each find their own space and it works!  The middle bead is an incredible mermaid - her tail surrounds the bead - and the top spinner is a paper bead.  Such a wonderful, unusual grouping, don't you think?  The necklace is wire wrapped pieces of coral (I had those pieces in my stash - how lucky was that?) and I also added a couple tagua rounds to the mix.  Love this statement piece!  Thanks, Teegan! 

AMAZONITE NECKLACE and BEADED BEADS

Going through my stash, found this incredible shade of coral just waiting for me to notice them again, and then the Czech rough cut turquoise beads purchased recently.  I decided to join 'em as it were and really like the combo with the brass chain and the focal amazonite "J" or good luck rabbit's foot.  I've had the amazonite for awhile now... never knew what I would do with it, but knew I'd find something, so... tried it while stringing the turquoise and coral and decided it could work.  Added some dangles to give it a bit more oomph...



The beaded bead (Tila 3-D Beaded Bead)  in both these earrings is a pattern designed by Kim Spencer for CisrayDesigns, taught by Sandy and Eileen at Bead Street .  I say Sandy and Eileen because it was a joint effort.  This particular pattern was difficult for any of us to follow and Sandy and Eileen put it all into perspective for us.  There were two beaded beads and these earrings show the first bead.  It became easier after we learned a few quick tricks.  The other one... well... I made one, and have not ventured to make another just yet.  I'll post once I do, as it is equally as fun and much more of the 3-D!

CERAMIC PENDANT HEART ENSEMBLE

This is one of my favorite pieces (well, they all are!), sold to one of my best customers!  I love these ceramic "Golem" designed hearts.  They aren't too big and come in lots of different color designs.  The coral and green are so great together, and you can wear it all year- round.  Some fire polish, some glass rounds, some wonderful little cut coral flowers with coral rounds, strung together with these darlin' bronze flower bead caps, chain and spacers.  I know this piece will bring you lots of joy when wearing, Kriss! 

 

 

 

SUMMER/FALL COLORED MULTI-PETAL DAGGER PROJECT COMPLETE

Here's my completed project, using one of the wonderful flowers from my last post.  I found these incredible pink/orange/tan agate rondelles, and strung them with copper filigree rounds in varying sizes (4mm, 6mm and 8mm), some copper fire polish, a few pink and orange coral chunks, and finished with chunky copper chain so it's adjustable.  I think this may be my new favorite!  I attached the flower to the necklace with two different versions of peyote stitch, which kind of came to me after I strung the necklace.  It just didn't come together until I added those last pieces to complete the look.

These daisy earrings turned out fun, but these aren't even the final version... you get the idea - bright copper charms, along with the agate rondelle and bright copper spacer - I then added another link of the pink & orange coral after the picture was taken.

PINCH BEADED BEADS and NEW EARRING DESIGNS, OH YA...

A lovely afternoon of making beaded beads with pinch beads, 11.0 sb, Czechmates 2-hole lentils and Super Duos - all designed by Eileen @ Bead Street.  I love beaded beads!  They are just so versatile.  Thanks, Eileen, for sharing with us.  I had a great time!  New posts coming with projects using these beads.  A couple new earring projects below.  The first set hilights one of the new pinch beaded beads, the others use whatever was in my view... on my beading table and thereabouts! 

 



This darlin pair of earrings focuses on one of the new beaded bead patterns.  Love these multi-faceted pinch beads in orange/red/pink/yellow.  I also "just happened" to have the same multi-colored fire polish in my stash, and the darlin' copper hearts - p e r f e c t!



I needed a pair that included some turquoise to match a necklace I have, so paired chips with brass findings, instead of my usual copper.  And, because my hair is longer now, my earrings seem to be getting longer too. 

Ooooh, these are so lovely.  Brass findings again, with coral in two different tones, and the teardrops were in my stash, but I don't have a clue what stone they are.  It just all worked together.  Love this color!






TOOTH DAGGER MAGNESITE / CORAL NECKLACE FOR FUN!

My own JDreams design using magnesite tooth daggers, Czech turquoise Picasso stones (like marbled lava rock) and authentic coral pieces inbetween.  Love this piece.  Very fun to wear and these colors are oh so popular.  Earrings to match.  I purchased the daggers in Helena, MT and the lava rock from my favorite bead shop, yes... Bead Street of course.  The coral I had in my stash... where so many of my wonderful beads live.
