SPOOKY HALLOWEEN!

I'm having a lot of fun using my home-grown pumpkins as my jewelry props!  The colors coordinate so well with the jewelry I'm creating right now, and of course I LOVE this time of year - fall - Halloween - the leaves starting to turn and fall - glorious lush oranges, reds, greens and yellows and ... So, below are my latest JDreams creations for this sp00ky time of year.  The pendant is so dang fun !!!! from a favorite artisan of mine Nancy Schindler of Round Rabbit designs, she really does beautiful work, and in this case perfect for the Season!  I also did a bit of patina wire work to attach the pendant.  I was so proud of myself with how that turned out and I thank a wonderful wire teacher -- Beth Routhier!  And last, but never least, my newest  stitched bracelet, designed by Eileen Barker of Bead Street.

The beautiful bracelet below is the design and creation of Eileen Barker @ Bead Street, called French Garden Cuff taught in a class by Sandy Taylor.  I've inserted the link above to Eileen's patterns.  This pattern uses 3mm cubes for the base, and I love this matte green for fall, especially when mixed with the orange and green montees!

HALLOWEEEEN/FALL FUN!

A little SPOOKiness for Halloween.

Some darlin darlin fire polish pumpkins.  I started with a Fusion Beads beaded bead pattern from their inspiration page, did some extra embellishing with the leaves and the top stems, and voila!  These are very fun to make!

Spider anyone???

Some earrings to go with that spider?

A wonderful tile pendant by J-Lynn Jewels.  I added a 4mm FP beaded beads in purple with orange 4mm FP added to  the outside to give a little depth, plus some old brass Ethiopian beads, some wood beads, and some charms to top it off.  Isn't it cute?

And, last, but certainly not least, some awesomely fall inspired, fun earrings!  Czech glass leaves, Czech glass pumpkin beads, semi precious stones, and some Lucite leaves.  A great combo!

EASY NECKLACE/EARRING PAIRing (wire wrapping and jump ringin') FOR FALL

I love September because that means Fall is basically here and it's almost HALLOWEEN.  I think Fall is my favorite time of year as the nights get cooler - whew is that a nice change here in Boise!  Unfortunately, that means the days get shorter too - but I have good lighting at my beading table, so decided I'd get to work on something light and fun for this new Season!  Ahhh big seed beads, and wood ones at that.  Like it!  I started with the spider - "He" screams Fall and Halloween.  I'm afraid of real spiders, but  of course, glass I can handle!  I loved him the minute I saw him - small crystals adorn his body so he sparkles.  oooooh, scarey!   I attached him to jump ring chain filled with green wood 6mm sbs, then added a few orange, purple, and yellows to spruce it up.  A fun, quick project and with one quick snap of the magnet, off I go...

And, last but not least, I had these tagua nut rondelles in mutli colors, so on to the jump rings they went.  These are all light on the ears, which make them very wearable... and oh, so fun.
