BIRD INSPIRATION FOR SPRING!

So many bins, bags, bowls, and containers of all shapes and sizes in my craft room, and I'm taking this opportunity to go through them, very slowly and one at a time, to be re-inspired by all that has been hidden from sight.  With a bit more time to create, more than I'm used to, I'm enjoying it soooo much.  It's such a wonderful distraction and escape... I'm trying to take advantage of that in these very stressful times.

Here's a sweet combo starting with Humblebeads as my inspiration - birds, nests, foliage.  Perfect time of year to get these out and add some beautiful czech beads for color pop.

I started with the metal copper branch, used some Vintaj paints to give it more of a real branch feel, and wire wrapped the absolutely adorbs bird connector to the branch, using twisted bugle beads.  For the necklace, I wire wrapped a variety of czech glass rondelles, leaves and flowers, with an off-balance look.  So fun!

For the complimenting earrings, I started with the same twisted bugle beads and wire wrapped them together in a triangle, and then added Heather's beautiful foliage charms, along with more czech glass bead caps and small flowers.

HOME AND THE HEART!

What a great place to be -- home -- and with the ones I love! A new set, inspired by this adorable wood pendant from Ashley at Summer Wind Art.  Because it started out so light weight, it gave me an opportunity to add some heavier options - I wrapped some 20 gauge wire and made a little heart connector, and then hung my own little peyote stitched howlite butterfly.  A little added detail that really brings the eye to the piece I think.  I strung some wood oblongs that I've had in my stash for awhile evidently, because I cannot reorder them from Fusion !!! (what's up with that?) and interspersed some wood saucers and metal melon beads with a new czech glass flower and some fire polish on the other side.  I am aware that I need to design more light weight around my neck, so my back doesn't speak to me at the end of the day -- this turned out perfect in that regard.  And, the earrings are a nice compliment.  I wanted to have the look of flowers, and it does kind of look like that, but it definitely took on it's own vibe!!   I don't do many projects in white (or black!) but this ended up with plenty of color. Love the set.

COMPLETED NECKLACE PROJECT

Here's the completed project from a couple posts ago.  I had many different ideas flowing through my dreams. (yes I dream beads!) as to the finished look of the necklace for this fun pendant, and this was not one of them... it just kind of came together, and I think it's perfect!  I had originally imagined a peyote or herringbone twisted tube, but the two tones of these awesome round, rough finished Czech beads with 8/0 in-between, and the leaves and flower, just fell onto the wire for me instead.

Plus, earrings to go with.  This is the front side and the next picture is the front and back side.  A little peyote is a wonderful thing!

SPRING LOADED SET COMPLETED!

Since my last post, I'm happy to say, I finished my design for a coordinating necklace and earrings to go with my lovely new "blues" spring loaded triangle bracelet.  Aren't these colors FABULOUS together?  Who knew?  Well, I kind of did, but I'm not sure I've ever put them together in a full ensemble.  The necklace incorporates tooth/dagger beads in sea glass, along with the blue Czech flowers, pearls and little bell lucite flowers.  Also some copper rounds thrown in.  Unbelievably, this necklace is very light, which is unusual for sea glass.  I made a couple of different earrings to go with too, just to have options.  And, I've also included a few better shots of that beautiful bracelet.

I added glass donuts to this version, and then wired in the darker blue pearls.  You can't really get the true appeal of the pearls in these pics.  They are really gorgeous.  I had to go back and buy a few more strands at Bead Street (of course!) to have on stock for other projects.... whatever those may be.  If only I could find all those beads I've purchased for those other projects.... they are buried deep. :)

This version I used two different sizes of Czech bell flowers and also small lucite flowers underneath for some added color.
