BIRD INSPIRATION FOR SPRING!

So many bins, bags, bowls, and containers of all shapes and sizes in my craft room, and I'm taking this opportunity to go through them, very slowly and one at a time, to be re-inspired by all that has been hidden from sight.  With a bit more time to create, more than I'm used to, I'm enjoying it soooo much.  It's such a wonderful distraction and escape... I'm trying to take advantage of that in these very stressful times.  

Here's a sweet combo starting with Humblebeads as my inspiration - birds, nests, foliage.  Perfect time of year to get these out and add some beautiful czech beads for color pop.

I started with the metal copper branch, used some Vintaj paints to give it more of a real branch feel, and wire wrapped the absolutely adorbs bird connector to the branch, using twisted bugle beads.  For the necklace, I wire wrapped a variety of czech glass rondelles, leaves and flowers, with an off-balance look.  So fun! 

For the complimenting earrings, I started with the same twisted bugle beads and wire wrapped them together in a triangle, and then added Heather's beautiful foliage charms, along with more czech glass bead caps and small flowers.

 

 

CRESCENTS SUBSTITUTE FOR SUPERDUOS

Changing from one shaped bead to another, well, it can change the entire look of a piece!  This pendant is no exception, and since I've been loving the star-shaped pendant design by Deb Roberti, and had made each one as designed with superduos, I was antsy to experiment with the crescent beads.  It was SO FUN to see it materialize!  Working with the crescents was a tad bit tricky, as they don't sit next to each other as easily as the super duos,  but it was worth the effort.  And, because I needed a wedding set, I added earrings (another design by Deb Roberti) and a bracelet (designed by Trendsetter Kathy Simonds).  The colors of this ensemble are not my usual, as I usually go more towards bright.  But, I do love these darker shades together, and the pop of the copper mix 11.0 seed beads helped give some pizazz...  :)  Who knew?

 

 

COMPLETED NECKLACE PROJECT

Here's the completed project from a couple posts ago.  I had many different ideas flowing through my dreams. (yes I dream beads!) as to the finished look of the necklace for this fun pendant, and this was not one of them... it just kind of came together, and I think it's perfect!  I had originally imagined a peyote or herringbone twisted tube, but the two tones of these awesome round, rough finished Czech beads with 8/0 in-between, and the leaves and flower, just fell onto the wire for me instead.  

 

Plus, earrings to go with.  This is the front side and the next picture is the front and back side.  A little peyote is a wonderful thing!

 

JDreams Original - Fall Pendant.

A new JDreams original design.  Don't ask me how to make an exact replica however!!!  That's a good thing... one of a kind and all...Ha ha.  I started with the bright yellow Czech glass rondelles and kept adding to... these Czech leaves are so wonderful - rustic with some deep coral veining.  The leaves coupled with the smoother textured drops are a nice combo.  See the last picture below for the back, which provides better view of the yellow rondelles.  I finished with the Unos around the center, which, depending on where they fall - inside or out - I think it looks like an opening flower.  Stay tuned for the necklace to hang it on.  Great piece for fall.
