TICKLED BY A SOFT FEATHER!
I fell in absolute love with these beautiful light blue imp jasper square puff beads and knew I would have to make them my next priority project. I immediately started to comb through my stash of favorite artist beads and pendants, to see what I could come up with that would be perfect. Sometimes you just feel it when you see it! And, yep, when I came upon this incredible copper heart/feather resin pendant from Gaea, it was too perfect, like it was made to go with these jasper beads. I added some 4mm pearls in between the puff beads and then some 8mm 2-tone pearls at the top to finish it off. Also some beautifully translucent peanut beads around a jump ring in the front for a slight bit of sparkle. It's truly a gorgeous combination in my world of creation. The colors are so perfect for spring, and for me personally. Thank you Gaea! It's a SMILE piece.

DARLIN' EAR CANDY!
I've been working on some new designs - yeah! Some I can share right now and some I can't, so stay tuned... it's all about the timing don't ya know...and who might be getting what when... ha ha! Mostly, I've been appreciating and enjoying getting back to some regular beading sessions with my friends! We had all taken a break through the Hollydaze, and then bad weather and roads continued to make things difficult. However, of late, we have been getting in a few group bead sessions, and that makes me so happy, and helps my artistic juices flow. It's always fun to see how differently we all see the same pattern, and then the choices of colors, etc. we all make. Thank you to my "bead-line" ("life-line") of friends!! :)
So, back to some of what I've been making -- some darlin' earrings, most of these shown are my JDreams design. The first pair below is my design... I think they're so spring-like! and I was able to get a pic outside while the sun was shining.
The pair below also my JDreams design - for someone very special. Don't they go beautifully with the scarf underneath?
And below a creation for a friend who prefers posts instead of loop earrings, plus anything silver. I try hard to keep posts in stock, so I'm not madly searching at the last minute. I was happy I had these available.
And last, but not least, some fun copper wire wrapped, purple 3-shade dangles - the bead weaving design is from Deb Roberti (color variation from a previous post), and the overall design, with wire wrapping, mine. C U T E and really light!
Stay tuned... more to come...

A COMPILATION POST!
A few new items I've recently completed that I'll combine into this one post - bits and pieces of fun! A darling necklace using peanut beads, which I think is so wonderfully colorful, coupled with two beautiful artisan beads from Humblebeads - Heather's birds are legendary, and this detailed bon bon flower bead so unusual and beautifully detailed.
Second, is a slightly altered version of Eileen Barker's French garden cuff design, from my October 20, 2015 post "Spooky Halloween". In this bracelet I tried a mixture of small and large drops in differing colors, which gave the top flowers a different look. The crystal montees are also alternated for a slightly different sheen. This color combo is really warm and rich!
And last, but never least, some beaded bead earrings I made in a class taught by Sandy Taylor, using a pattern designed by Vezsuzsi.

MY OWN INTERPRETATIONS!
Summer gets so busy... and it's tough to stay on any kind of regular schedule, and expanding my beading brain has taken a back seat of late... but I have a few new completed projects that are my own creations and I'm quite proud of both! One is stitched and one is wire wrapped. And, I do have a couple other wonderful projects, which I hope to share on this blog very soon. They are quite spectacular, designs by my mentor Eileen @ Bead Street. Stay tuned for those...
Making a button hole in peyote was a first for me on the bracelet. It took me a minute to figure it out - as I started stitching the slit sideways instead of up and down with the flow of the beads. Figured it out pretty quickly, and like how it turned out. My button is a tagua nut round, with a magnesite disk that just fits inside, with a peanut bead and 15.0 on top. I love the peanuts around the outer edge. I tried several different things, but the peanuts seemed to mesh the best with the design of the bracelet. I tried o rings too, and they were a neat look, but ultimately the peanuts won out.
My other JDreams design is below. I used mixed metals to make the heart and wire wrap the shell beads for part of the chain. A special gift for Teri in my office. She has been soooo helpful to me this past year and I wanted to do something special for her birthday. She rides a darling covered scooter, and I found this charm with her in mind, and JUST kind of built it from there. This necklace and earrings came together like it was meant to be! Thank you, Teri!

MOM'S DAY SETS
Two darlin Mom's Day sets for my girls, (daughters-in-law). The pendants are so special, from BoHulley Beads in the UK. Bo has a flair for detailed designs, and they are eye catchers all by themselves. So, I strung necklaces and earrings (w/birds and butterflies) to compliment what was the focal. I think these are pretty perfect for spring/summer wear and my girls were very happy, which always makes me happy!
