A BUNNY, SOME OWLS and A HEART!

A spirited, unique clay pendant from Nicole St Laurent (Ravens Meadow), a beautiful enameled light purple heart and charms from Gaea and some gorgeous complimenting gemstones make for a unique Easter and all-year-round piece.  I started daydreaming about how this whole piece would come together a few months before I actually sat down to get 'er done!  I do that... I like to look at a piece, and let my mind wander about the possibilities, and hopefully sooner rather than later...(but sometimes it's years later!!) it tells me where I'm going.  For this necklace, I  began by wire wrapping around the top wire of the pendant using a deep purple 20 gauge wire, just to soften the edges.  I kept shifting the heart to see where it would best fit, and it felt perfect where I wired it in place.  I added some turquoise, amethyst and jasper, and 8 sb for the necklace portion - I also wire wrapped a couple of links to soften the connection of the necklace to the piece.

The time of day makes such a difference in the lighting for pics.  The view below shows truer coloration.

Next, every necklace needs a cute set of earrings, right?  For this pair, I started with Gaea's gorgeous enameled metal charms, using purple wire to make the connector, and going up from there with turquoise and jasper rondelles.  Light turquoise czech glass flowers and my copper ear wires topped them off.  Is this a fun statement combo piece or what?

The Blues...

This incredible pattern designed by Natalia Savastano, aptly named "Bright Starburst Pendant" and featured in the February 2020 issue of Bead & Button magazine, is just that -- a starburst of incredible color.  I chose varying degrees and shades of blue and turquoise... and oh my gosh, is it gorgeous.  I finished it off with some chain and just a few swarovski pearl dangles to compliment the pendant.  Hope you LOVE it Kriss!!

To compliment the pendant, but not add too much extra bling, I stitched peyote pieces and attached to different sized jump rings, and added more crystals.  Perfect!

HERRINGBONE FALL BRACELETS

A wonderful pattern designed by Adele Kimpell, Bead Dreamers, (tweaked and embellished slightly) which I learned in a class taught by Sandy Taylor at Bead Street.  This is my second [completed] bracelet using 8sb's (reddish/rust color) for the tubular Herringbone base, with three different colored lentels (dark green, translucent/opaque yellow and the gorgeous orange with gold flecks, my favorite).  I added some copper 11s down the middle of the base as a finishing touch.

Another front view - this shows the translucent side of the yellow lentels.

Back view-- I did not add the copper 11 embellishment to this side.  It is more comfortable to wear without the added beads next to the skin.  Also, you can see the other side of the yellows - the opaque coating.

Here's the first bracelet I completed - I say that because the original pattern used 11's for the Herringbone tube base, but my eyes have not been cooperating and I just couldn't see the beads to get it started - four beads for a tube was challenging for me!  So, that one sits on my beading table. I will finish it, but  for right now, the bigger seed beads are fun - I like the flash of color on my wrist. Doesn't this color combo remind you of cornucopia?

SUMMER PINWHEEL EARRINGS

Earrings, earrings, earrings.  You can never have too many, right?  I found a fun pattern at Fusion Beads, and have kind of fallen for this style.  They look like pinwheels don't they?  And, you can use so many different beads with the Super Duos.  The purple combo below was my first(!) and the second two followed with slight deviation. Colors are all varied so can be worn with lots of different clothing combos.

Love the color combination of purples on this one.  Transparent purple Super Duos in center and four different color 8 sbs on outer edge.  I didn't add any chain to this first version, so they fit closer to the ear.  My handmade copper earring wires finish these off.  I hope you love these, Tara!  ♥

Multi colored center - transparent Super Duos (purple, blue, pink) with 3mm AB swarovski crystals around outer edge and with 4mm as dangle.  I changed the pattern up slightly by adding the center flower bead to each, and in this version I also used a Super Duo, instead of 15 sbs for the attachment to the chain, for a slightly longer version.

These are very fun on.  The center is transparent yellow, and the Super Duos are the pinkish color.  The bright pink/peach colors are so big this year and this earring, with the yellows, turquoise, orange, purple size 8 sbs, are versatile...I added the chain and drops after to give them a little more length and low key bling.
